Unscented | Chef Joshna Maharaj | Chatelaine Magazine

A few years back Chef Joshna Maharaj lost her smell (anosmia) and how she’s working on regaining it and coming to terms with the changes it means for her career and life in general. I found it especially touching about her take on memory,

“I know that smell and memory are deeply connected, and that
smells can evoke memories instantly. I wondered whether anosmia
would now leave me with fewer or less vivid memories of
these no-smelling years.”
