Pan Am Games Mural | MacLaren McCann & Chevrolet

This was such a unique project to be involved in. I was asked to do a 20×8 ft mural by ad agency MacLaren McCann to showcase Chevrolet’s presentation of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games Volunteer program for the Pan Am Countdown in Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square. I inked the illustration, scanned it very high res and then added colour digitally. It then was sent off to be enlarged, stuck to Aluboard and then cut into pieces for the massive jigsaw puzzle. It was important to portray a feeling of cooperation and participation in the games and so the concept of making a giant jigsaw puzzle was perfect. It worked out brilliantly, especially seeing how much fun kids had at the Countdown and being involved in making this giant art piece.
