I went bright and bold with this one! A portrait of Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as “Appa” for the CBC show Kim’s Convenience, about Korean-Canadian family the Kims, who run a convenience store in downtown Toronto. This was part of a social media campaign where different artists were asked to illustrate a poster for an episode. Mine was about Appa’s first text and how his inexperience with modern technology confuses his son which leads them to a sort of date. It all works out in the end. Don’t worry!
