Process: Toronto Life Portraits September 18th, 2011

Had a great time working with John Montgomery on these wee portraits for the See, Hear, Read section of Toronto Life Magazine featuring Kate McEdwards from Queen Video, Stephen York from Sunrise Records & John Snyder from Book City. These had to be black & white so it was a nice excuse to work with some ink washes and loose brush work. Sometimes basic portraiture can be so entertaining especially when you’ve got great characters to draw from. John Snyder looks a bit similar to my father-in-law so that was a odd one to work on.
