Say Hello On

Odds & Ends

Jane Austen Book Illustrations (Amazon) September 25th, 2012

I’m really excited to finally announce the project that kept me so busy in the Spring. I’m part of a beautifully designed Jane Austen collection coming out October 2, 2012; The Complete Novels of Jane Austen: Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, Persuasion, and Lady Susan (The Heirloom Collection). This is published by Amazon and designed by Alan Hebel & Ian Shimkoviak from the incredible Book Designers. My 72 full page colour illustrations are packaged in lovely hard cover books, housed in an elegant slipcase with a magnetic closure. Fancy, I know. You can pre-order at Amazon.com

I’ll have more posts about this closer to the release date. In the meantime, here’s a little tease (photography by Ian Shimkoviak from the Book Designers).

The books contain a lot of Regency era fashion, lush green English countryside and fabulous Stately homes, but there’s the odd action packed scene….. like this!

Can’t wait to unveil more of this when it comes out in October. There’s also another box set coming out in November (with 60 of my illustrations) centering around a certain English detective. More on these projects soon!

Laurel Ann, thanks so much for your enthusiasm. I am up for it! I think. I guess it all depends what you have in store for me. I’ll email you.

  2. Well done Jacqui! Your illustrations are fabulous! Congratulations!

  3. Magnifique! What a collection! Thanks for the preview. It will be a must buy for all Janeites. I will post the pictures and all your info on my page on facebook (If you don’t agree I will take it down but I think it is good publicity because there are followers from the four corners of the world). It is a pleasure for me to spread the word about anything related to Jane Austen and illustrations are dear to my heart.

If you ever come and take a look at my page there is an album for illustrations and I try to give credit where credit is due but some are found without any reference to the artist. You are welcome to say something if you know where they are from.

The collection looks absolutely stunning. Will wait for the “detective” anxiously as well.

Hi Rita. Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m really thrilled about seeing the whole package myself. They did a lovely job. Yes, I’d be very happy if you posted my illustrations with credit. Thanks so much for asking. I really appreciate it. Oh, if you are going to show the design please credit The Book Designers. They are on Facebook too.

I am waiting anxiously for “the detective” too! I’ve seen a few quick shots of the packaging and it is incredible. Can’t wait!
