Letting Go | Hour Detroit
This job was a challenge. The article debated the need for doctors to learn how to talk to patients and their families about whether it’s best to stop medical treatment that might extend a life but will result in a poor quality of life. The idea of Letting Go touched me so I thought I would focus on that and try and express the mood of these final days. Thanks to Valerie Morgan for having me illustrate such a moving piece.
In the same magazine issue I illustrated another piece on whether it’s wise for women to choose double mastectomies.
These were both inked by hand and then colour was added digitally. So happy with how the tone of these pieces turned out.
